While I recognize that Christmas came and went long ago, I did want to recap our holiday celebrations for the sake of documentation.
We started with the 17-hour drive to Indianapolis to Kent's childhood home to celebrate with all the Brantlys (minus four and countless grand-dogs). We arrived Christmas Eve (at 6:00am after driving all night) and the festivities quickly began. There are 10 grandchildren in this family (so far), and two of them are the same age as Ruby. The three of them (with baby Stephen in close chase every step of the way) had a BLAST together. They actually played well together and seemed to really enjoy each other's company. It was great fun to watch these bottomless balls of energy bounce around the house.
We opened presents. Lots and lots of presents.
And we saw our fair share of movies.
We had so much fun playing in the snow. Even my Texas city kids spent hours and hours outside in the snow. Stephen would immediately scoop up a handful of snow and eat on it the whole time he was outside.

Then we would drink hot cocoa.
And eat and eat. And play games.
